Kia now officially unveiled the exterior & interior image of K900 luxury-sedan ahead of New York International Auto Show 2018. The new sedan packed with new Human Machine Interface (HMI) and co-developed Pantone customizable mood lighting, strong exterior look & many more new feature.
Kia K900 exterior offer Quadric pattern grille with 176 jewel-like cells, rear & tail has twin-layer LED light design that called Duplex LED lamp, chrome detailing all over the sedan which improve look and exhaust also finished in chrome & shark fin on roof.
The luxury sedan is now longer & wider, wheelbase is extended by 60mm to 3,105mm, while both the front plus rear overhangs are shorter, pushing the wheels further out to the corners of the car.
Kia K900 interior has more spacious interior & it’s possible by longer and wider exterior. There is trimmed with soft-touch surfaces, blend of highly tactile wood plus metal veneers & genuine leather all over the interior.
There is 12.3-inch floating HMI integrated bezel-less screen on centre as well river can also use a manual dial to rotate through on-screen functions. Kia K900 dashboard also has elegant analog clock which developed with Swiss luxury watch brand, Maurice Lacroix.
The HMI feature is new intelligent lighting control with proximity sensors, only illuminating the dashboard when it detects the driver’s hand reaching for a switch as well as new mood lighting system.
Kia say “The new K900 is the first car in the world to incorporate an ambient lighting system developed in partnership with the Pantone Color Institute, the global authority on color. Customizable on the move, the subtle ambient lighting floods the interior in one of seven colors, jointly developed by Kia and the Pantone Color Institute. Drivers can also choose from 64 unique settings to adapt light levels throughout the car. Harmonizing with the cabin’s design, the glow of the lights creates a truly contemporary ambience while providing stability and rest for K900 occupants.”
Kia not revealed the which engine will be use in K900 but some news that it’s powered by 3.3-litre or 3.8-litre V6 that generate 311bhp & 365bhp power while top-spec powered by 5.0-litre V8 engine that generate 420bhp power. And engine matted with eight-speed automatic transmission is standard while V6 engine matted with four-wheel-drive.
So, let wait little more & we have all detail. Kia K900 developed in Korea & will go on sale across selected global markets from the second quarter of 2018.
