Samsung recently unveiled the world’s largest 30TB SSD. The new Samsung SSD set the new bench mark for other company’s because before that 15TB drive is the highest one. So, check the specs –
Samsung PM1643 are possible by combining 32 of the new 1TB NAND flash packages, each comprised of 16 stacked layers of 512Gb V-NAND chips. In these super SSD 5,700 5-gigabyte (GB), full HD movie files to be stored within a just 2.5-inch storage device.
These massive SSD offer sequential read and write speeds of up to 2,100MB/s and 1,700 MB/s, respectively which is approx four times random read & three times sequential read performance as compare to SSD on market today.
Samsung PM1643 for interconnect 8GB DDR4 chips applies Through Silicon Via (TSV) technology, creating 10 4GB TSV DRAM packages, totaling 40GB of DRAM. Also, the first time that TSV-applied DRAM has been used in an SSD.
