Suzuki showcase retro themed café racer version of its popular SV650 dubbed the SV650X at EICMA 2017. The new X variant get new retro design & get improvement, if we compare to older version.
Suzuki 2018 SV650X equipped with latest Suzuki technology like Low RPM Assist function that raises engine rpm in launching or low rpm riding conditions throught the ECM activating the ISC system.
The retro style motorcycle boasted by 645cc 90° DOHC liquid-cooled V-twin engine generate 75 hp power at 8,500 rpm & peak torque of 64Nm at 8,100 rpm (Suzuki say “Maximum output of the Learner-Approved version will be restricted to 35kW at 8,500rpm and 56.5Nm of torque at 4,000rpm to meet the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) requirements” ).
Suzuki 2018 SV650X has round multi-reflector headlight with a stylish headlight cowling & you see some slots on headlight sides that remind us old motorcycle style. There is clip-on handlebars which motivate for sporty ride.
2018 SV650X fuel tank is improved from 13.8L to 14.5L & company claim that it give excellent fuel efficiency. For comfortness, narrow and streamlined tuck roll seat oozes retro style and feel plus soft cushioning helps reduce rider fatigue, even when in sporty riding positions.
Suzuki improved brake of 2018 SV650X, now got 290mm dual front disc brakes with ABS & 240mm rear brake disc. Retro motorcycle obtain Suzuki Easy Start Engine that start motor with click a push button & ECM checks the status and release the starter motor immediately after starting.
As per the company “Suzuki SV650X is expected to arrive in Australia during the second quarter of 2018 in both full-powered and learner-approved versions. Final specifications and pricing will be confirmed closer to launch.”
