Triumph revealed Speed Triple which is a most awaited motorcycle. The new motorcycle got major improvement in engine as well as lightweight & stuff with new technology. Triumph Speed Triple has same design like previous one. Sale in two different variant – Speed Triple S & RS, also you easily see difference b/w this two range – RS got red color trim all over body while S has simple without any detailing.

Triumph Speed Triple powered by 1050cc in-line 3-cylinder liquid-cooled 12 valve DOHC engine. The engine got crucial improvement with 105 new parts, Speed Triple now produce 10PS more power plus 4% more torque which means now engine generate 150PS at 10,500rpm power plus 117Nm torque at 7,150rpm (both model has same).
The engine matted with 6-speed gearbox which control by wet, multi-plate slip assist clutch. Speed Triple engine got 105 new parts – lighter Nikasil-plated aluminium cylinder liners, a lighter crank gear, new profile pistons, new valve springs, new high-lift cam profiles, new hydraulic tensioner and tensioner blade with new rubbing strip. Further efficiency improvements have been found with a new cylinder head, new lighter balance shaft, optimised balancer drive gear & etc.
More new benefits new sump, smaller starter motor, lighter battery and alternator, and a new airbox design. In addition, the oil system has been re-routed and the fuel system revised, both for even more efficient performance.

Suspension & Brake
Triumph Speed Triple use aluminium beam twin-spar frame in both variant but S model packed with front Showa 43 mm upside down forks with adjustable preload, rebound & compression damping plus 120 mm travel while rear suspension got Showa monoshock with adjustable preload, rebound & compression damping plus 130 mm rear wheel travel.
Triumph Speed Triple RS packed with race suspension, front Ohlins 43 mm NIX30 upside down forks with adjustable preload, rebound & compression damping plus 120 mm travel while rear suspension has Ohlins TTX36 twin tube monoshock with preload, rebound & compression damping plus 130 mm rear wheel travel.
Now talking about brake so, both model offer Twin 320 mm floating discs, Brembo 4-piston Monobloc radial calipers front brake & Single 255 mm disc, 2-piston sliding caliper rear brake. Both front & rear end has switchable ABS.
One major difference is weight in both model – Speed Triple S weight is 192kg (kerb) while Speed Triple RS weight is 189kg (kerb) that is really less weight & motorcyclist know these how big difference these.
Triumph Speed Triple stuff with new technology, RS model packed with new Optimised Cornering ABS and traction control, supported by a new Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that continuously monitors lean angles on the move. As well as on the RS is an additional Track riding mode, lap timer, keyless ignition & keyless steering lock.
Both variant drilled with 5-inch TFT full-color instrument display with illuminated switchcubes & 5-way joystick. There is up to five riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport, Rider configure mode & Track (only in RS).
Triumph Speed Triple S & RS model price revealed at 26th Feb & we think so, soon launch in India. Both offer two color variant – Crystal White & Matt Jet Black, as we say red line all over the body in RS model.
